East Kent Sands Losing a baby, at whatever age, or stage of pregnancy is something none of us ever think about, but sadly it affects 15 families every single day. At East Kent Sands – and indeed across the whole Sands family – they are there to give you whatever support you need, on dealing with the death of your baby, on some of the practical considerations, how best to keep your special memories and how to plan for the future, perhaps with further pregnancies. They help by talking on the phone or face to face, or by text or email – whatever suits you best.

together with Friends of Downs View Infant School

The role of the Friends of Downs View Infant School is to organise and run fundraising activities. The Committee works very closely with the school to ensure that the funds raised go to approved projects to benefit the children at the school.

The Friends of Downs View are a fully registered Charity and work incredibly hard to raise funds to offer the children at the school a little extra that is out of reach of the school budget. Most recently we have raised money to provide new reading books for the children and enhanced the outdoor learning, including extra provision for growing and looking after our environment. Also providing more resources to enhance language development inside and outdoors; including role-play area and signs to support children outside with reading and writing. These are just a few of the extras and essentials that the Friends are raising money for.
